Intel Announces next-gen Thunderbolt which support data transfer up to 20Gbps

Thunderbolt technology from Intel is is a hardware interface that allows for the connection of external peripherals to a computer. It uses the same connector as Mini DisplayPort (MDP). Thunderbolt was developed by Intel with technical collaboration from Apple.

Intel just introduced the next generation of its Thunderbolt interface.Through this new Thunderbolt interface, it promises data transfer of up to 20Gbps through both directions, compared to only around 10Gbps before.

At the same time, it also brings support for 4K video file transfer via Thunderbolt this new generation, except where Intel also said it would offer a much thinner cable in the next few months.
